Many of our Peer Leaders are part of the NHS Strategic Coproduction Group, a recognised and reimbursed Patient and Public Voice Level 4 role. Others are part of a wider Peer Leadership Network. EVERYONE is a volunteer, choosing to give up their time to share their lived experience and/or their expertise.
When you engage with any of our Peer Leaders we ask you make clear and follow your organisation’s policy and procedure regarding valuing people with lived experience and their time. If you engage more than one Peer Leader at a time we ask that all Peer Leaders be offered the same rate of remuneration.
It is up to each individual Peer Leader (based on their own circumstances) to decide whether to accept or decline this offer, or to request for the payment to be donated to their chosen charity.
